Bill Sabo has an impressive track record on the Board
as a strong advocate for our airport and our community.
During Bill's term as an Airport Director he has
contributed significantly to activities that have improved facilities,
increased air service, improved relationships with our airport neighbors
and stabilized airport finances.

New low cost "Express Jet" service to Long Beach, Ontario, San Diego, Sacramento, and Tucson has increased Monterey's low cost travel options and passenger traffic.

New low cost jet service to and from Las Vegas has been started by "Allegiant Airlines".

Successful completion of our terminal modernization program has provided an even faster and more comfortable customer experience for our visitors and residents.

Bill's financial background (MBA - Finance - Michigan State University) has made him an asset to the Board and has contributed to the reversal of a two-year trend of operating deficits. Bill's input
has helped put the Monterey Peninsula Airport District on solid financial footing which reduces or eliminates the need for tax-based support.

Bill has been proactive with respect to community concerns over airport operations. Through his initiative, a long-standing issue for the surrounding neighborhoods regarding air traffic routing was
effectively voiced by the Board.
Keeping Bill on the Board will ensure that his
background and talents continue to benefit both our airport and our
